Okay those words might be a little strong, but not by much. As most of you know Mean Gene is my guitar mentor and good friend. But did you also know he’s a local San Diego Rock Icon?! Continue reading “Gene is a Golden God of Guitar!”
Somehow my father has the ability to buy or be gifted vehicles for far less money then the average man ever could. Some have theorized that his car acquiring ability is a genetic mutation, making him a low level member of the X-men team. While it’s not very useful for fighting crime, it’s still a pretty cool talent.
Recently my Father was gifted a mini RV made out of a 1980’s Ford Van. It’s a little dated but it’s still pretty damn awesome. As my mom describes it, it’s roughly the size and shape of an old skool ambulance, and with it’s extra tall roof it allows my over-six-foot father to stand upright while inside. There’s a over hang above the front seats that houses a small bed. Inside the main compartment everything is carpeted and or wood paneled which is pure class. I’ve never wished that I was near Pittsburgh before, but this Vader Project is cool enough to make me want to visit the place. Apparently a couple of years back, 100 pop artists were challenged to re-imagine the Iconic Darth Vader helmet in any way they saw fit. Continue reading “The Vader Project = AWESOME!”
In case you’re wondering why I’m so hard core into Ford, I guess you’d have to thank my dad. You might say, he raised me right. He showed me a real appreciation for a rumbling V8 and in particular a love for Mustangs and Fords. Here’s a picture of me, circa 80-something, proudly displaying a taunting sign aimed at the Chevy guys. That was my dad’s 1964 1/2 Mustang with a build K code 289. It was a beautiful, fast and loud car and I loved it. Continue reading “Ford: Born and Raised”
So as it does every April, the Fabulous Fords Forever show returned this year to the Knotts Berry Farm parking lot and it was a hot show. Yeah the cars were hot, but that’s not what I mean. It was about 90 degree’s on the blacktop, and the heat was unrelenting. We troopered through, but it was tough. The show is only a few hours long and sadly right during mid day so we either had to stay and suffer or bail out. Continue reading “2009 Fabulous Fords Forever Show: HOT!”
Okay so this picture is from back in 2004 when Phia and I went to Puerto Vallarta on vacation. Back then after we got our pics back in passing, I jokingly mused that this guy looked like Harrison Ford (who happens to be a hero of mine BTW. Hello Han Solo and Indy, c’mon). Continue reading “Dude, WTF is that Harrison Ford?”
Let’s just say, this is one picture that Bryan hasn’t taken himself. However, once October rolls around, our child will feel like Drew Barrymore with paparazzi Papa Novak following him/her around snapping away!
This was taken 8 weeks into it, and that little white speck in the middle of the peanut shaped area is our little bunlde of joy. Now at 13 weeks, he/she looks a bit different, and is a whopping 3 inches and a whole 1/2 an ounce! Impressive stuff.
We thought we’d share some of these fun photos, and I’ll save the “baby bump” photos until I actually have a real bump. The one I have now is not too dramatic.
Stay tuned, there will be more to come!
Oh yes I will! Remember the baby is supposed to be born Mid-October. We all know what happens at the end of October! It’s perfect… almost too perfect. Muah-ah-ah-ah…. (that’s an evil laugh incase you’re not reading it right).

If there is one thing the Novak’s are not, its patient. “Instant gratification” is our motto and having to contain an exciting announcement for months is…torturous! Finally after having waited the pre-requisite 12 weeks, we just cannot contain ourselves any longer. We are so excited and thrilled to share with you Continue reading “The one you’ve been waiting for!”
This article is a couple of years old and it’s long, but it’s worth reading, and I especially encourage my musician friends to check it out. It is if anything, extremely interesting. Continue reading “World Class Music vs. Rush Hour”
