Eric, Ric’ The Doctor, whatever name you know him by, my old buddy (we’re talkin’ Kindergarten here people!) came down to San Diego and stayed with us for an evening. Those that know him, know that Eric is a phenomenal artist, so he was on his way to the Comic Convention here in San Diego to drop off submissions of his work. I saw his current work and it’s really amazing. I have no doubt that he’ll be getting some interest in his ability. If you’ve never seen any of his stuff, the pic of Bono to the left is just an example of what he’s capable of. He drew that for me on my birthday (in high school no less!). The skech is of Bono from back in the “Fly” during the Zoo TV Tour. Be sure you click on the pic to see it larger! I’ve always been a huge U2 fan so you can image what that picture means to me. Ask me to see it in person sometime, it’s truly amazing!
Anyway, Eric looked great, in fact far more fit then me! He’s up in Redlands where it’s hot as hell, working at Starbucks and going to school. Unfortunately we didn’t have a whole lot of time to hang out this time around, pretty much just one evening and the next morning, but none the less it was fun. Plus he finally got a chance to meet Phia so now she;s officially met my two oldest friends Kevin and Eric, whom I’ve been friends with since Kindergarten. Next year I think I’ll plan on going to the Con since I haven’t been in years. Anyway, it was good to see an old friend doing really well. Here’s a couple of pics if us just being us!
