Each year millions of people will be affected in some way by Cancer. While we’ve yet to find the cure, it’s comforting to know that there are people out there who’ve dedicated their lives to eradicating Cancer. I’ve learned through personal experience that this disease affects not only the patient, but all who are a part of their life. I’ve felt the fear, anxiety and helplessness at the thought of losing a loved one, and fortunately been lucky enough to bare witness to the absolute joy and love that comes with a patient’s recovery.
Recently I’ve decided that I’d like to be a small part of the cure by taking on a large challenge. In October I’ll be running my very first Marathon, the Nike Women’s Marathon, who’s proceeds will benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. I’ll admit the concept of running a Marathon is a little daunting but I feel like I’m up to the task and am very excited to be a part of something that could potentially benefit so many.
I won’t ask you to run the 26 miles with me, but I would like all who read this to consider making a donation of any size to help me reach my goal of $3,300. It’s a large sum, but it’s also a wonderful cause that we can all be proud of supporting. I’ve included a link below that will direct you to my donations page, any amount is helpful and greatly appreciated! Thanks to everyone for your support!
Again, for all of you who have donated to my fundraising for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society..Thank YOU SO MUCH!!! For those who haven’t had the opportunity to do it yet, here’s the link to my site so you can quickly make a very much appreciated contribution to help blood cancer research:
(Don’t forget, it’s tax deductible)
Also, it would be a huge help if you could pass this link along to any/all of your friends, family, co-workers, and neighbors! Every little bit counts.
If you prefer check contributions, please make them out to LLS, if you don’t have my address please email me and I’ll let you know where to send it! THANK YOU!
